Case study on real life examples of cyberbullying in schools and how to overcome them


Read the case study below and make suggestions on what to be done. 
Anna is a grade 3 learner that got bullied by her classmates everyday. One day when Anna was eating her lunch box her class mates came and started bullying her and laughing at her. Anna then decided to isolate her self from others and developed feelings of fear. the picture below shows Anna being bullied by her classmates which caused stress, anxiety and isolation. The can lead to learners dropping out school due to fear and stress.

Here is one example of cyberbullying. To avoid this kind of , cyberbullying in schools should educate students about the danger of cyberbullying and the impact it can have on others. This can be done through assemblies and classroom discussions.

Here is another type of cyberbullying, cyberbullying can also cause mental health issues such as experiencing feelings of fear, shame, and isolation which can lead to depression and other mental health issues.

 The sharing of inappropriate contents is also one type of cyberbullying. To void all this, teachers should establish relationships that encourage communication with their learners.

To conclude on this, Schools should  establish clear policies and clear expectations for acceptable and responsible device usage on and off school. So, let's avoid cyberbullying in schools, let's love each and let's always be there for each other! THANK YOU
